Stu is an experienced senior leader, bringing a wealth of management, technology, consulting, and implementation experience across cybersecurity, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He is values-driven and passionate about helping businesses and not-for-profit organisations realise the potential of secure and usable technology as a platform for good, an enabler for change, and an opportunity to accelerate ethical AI-enablement. Stu is a seasoned leader and communicator, drawing on experiences structuring and facilitating cybersecurity discovery and assessment workshops for multi-disciplined stakeholder groups (technical, non-technical, executive). He has successfully led high-performing teams on significant national programs of work, with multi-million dollar budgets, and direct stakeholder engagement and impact in the thousands. Having co-developed version 1 & 2 of the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF), and worked extensively with the C2M2 and NIST CSF, Stu specialises in cybersecurity capability & maturity assessment, threat & risk management, control design and uplift, strategy development and execution, and program delivery. His skill set is underpinned by a specialised understanding of technology – covering end-user compute, full-stack on-premises network and server architectures, cloud enablement, secure remote access architectures (including broader zero-trust philosophies), and privacy-preserving data pipelines. Across all of those areas, he is passionate about the secure enablement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly agentic-AI, given its transformative potential to improve security operations and data exploration across industries.
